Ingredients:
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 sprigs fresh sage
- 2 sprigs fres Italian parsley
- Toasted French bread slices
- 40 cloves garlic, unpeeled
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 4 pound whole chicken
- 2 stalks celery cut into 3 inch pieces
Directions:
- Place 1/2 of the spices (except garlic) in the chicken cavity. (I don't use all of those spices for mine)
- Place celery in bottom of slow cooker
- Put chicken on top of celery and add garlic around the chicken along with remaining spices.
- Cook on high 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
To serve, put all on a platter, squeeze garlic out of skins onto French bread and spread with knife.
